Özet: Ahmet Faraz Urdu dilinin son yüzyılda yetiştirdiği en önemli şairlerden
biridir. Asıl adı Seyit Ahmet Şah’tır ve şiirlerinde Faraz mahlasını
kullanır. Ülkesi Pakistan’ın yaşamış olduğu çeşitli siyasi istikrarsızlıklar
onun şiirine yansımış, gazel türünü kullanarak Urduca protest şiire ilk ve
en güzel örneklerini vermiştir.

Abstract: Ahmed Faraz is considered one of the greatest modern Urdu
poets of the last century. Faraz is his pseudonym ‘takhallus’, whereas his
real name is Syed Ahmad Shah. Ahmed Faraz, who has been compared
with Faiz Ahmed Faiz, holds a unique position as one of the best poets of
current times, with a fine but simple style of writing. Even common people
can easily understand. He brougt ghazal type from past to future. In a country
